Okay, I thought of getting a maltese dog, but i dont like how their fur gets so long. cute when they are puppies tho! wat dog should i get that is like the maltese without long fur?
or can u shave of their fur? plz help i rlly want a dog!!!!!

You can keep there hair short which is called the Puppy Cut. We keep most of our Maltese with a puppy cut and they still look so cute. You can see a picture of one of our maltese dogs with a puppy cut on the article below.

Look into Westies their nice dogs too.
but it looks like you don't know very much about dogs, you should research them before you think of getting one.
Hahaha, my dog is part bichon frise. They all need grooming, and are pretty much 1 person dogs. Maltese and Westies sometimes bark a lot if they're not trained. I'd go with a bichon they are good with all kinds of people and not really one person dogs, but you do have to patient while training them I'd crate train it as a puppy.
And it depends what kind of cut you get.
I don't like when they trim around the face, I think it deffinitley takes away from the cuteness, I'd leave them furry and just keep them groomed. Also, they don't shed and are hypo-allgergenic.
With Maltese and Bichons you do have to clean their eyes, because tears will stain their coat

i too have a maltese. my dog has never has a long coat, their fur takes a LONG time before it gets to be that long. you can always get the dog saved( thats what we always do). other dogs that come pretty close to the maltese are bichon's, coton de tulear,and westie's. my friend has a coton de tulear and they literally look exactly the same!
