What dog breed most resembles and acts like a wolf?

Siberian Husky, Malamutes and Belgian Sheepdogs. They both physically look similar to wolfs, and act as much like a wolf as can be. Their also dominating, as in, you need to make sure they know your the alpha or they ll be. But once they know your in charge they're great pets. They're are also wolf dogs, I don't know how you could get one, but apparently there are domesticated wolfs and act very wolf-like.

The Alaskan Malamute is genetically closest to a Wolf.

What I loved about mine was that he was not really easy, but he was predicatable, and you could tell my his expression and body language what he was feeling, or about to do.

They are also quite beautiful, and I think more handsome than any wolf I have ever seen.

Oh, also there is a native american dog breed, but I have no experience with thise. They look mongrelly like a wolf, though.

Siberian Husky… They are extremely wolf-like dogs in looks, and personality. They are sledding dogs, so when they are used for sledding they pretty much live in 'packs' like wolves, only working for humans.
They have a strong prey drive and will chase and kill smaller animals.

German Shepherds are also pretty wolf-like.

Oh and like said below I don't agree to getting a dog because it is more wolf-like then other breeds, or looks. Just so you know. ^_^

to be honest no dog will act like the wolf for the simple fact that the wolf is wild

and getting a breed based on looks is a no no

Siberian Husky or malamute. Don't get a dog just because It's like a wolf.
