URGENT! My dog at about 10 oreos. Should I be concerned?
My shih-tzu ate about 10 oreo cookies and he is quite big for a shih-tzu. about 10-15 pounds. He is shivering allthough he was just outside and is wet on the underbelly, but am still very concerned. do i need to take him to the vet?
answer: He'll most likely get sick, so you might be cleaning up after him for a little while.
I'd suggest calling a vet and asking a few questions and then maybe scheduling for an appointment later on.
Not to worry though. I've had a dog eat a whole box of chocolate chip cookies that my younger siblings left out and after tons of worrying, everything was just fine.

When did he eat them? If less than an hour ago, give him a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide, if he doesn't vomit do it a second time. If he throws them up, take up all food and water for the rest of today. If he doesn't throw up , take him to the vet.

Watch your dog. If he stops drinking water and eating or seems lethargic, i'd go to a vet. But just watch. My 8 pound Chihuahua got into the halloween candy and we found about 6 wrappers. She was a bit hyper but fine.
unless the dog starts to be sick a lot or runny poo then there shouldn'tt be too much to worry about, dogs like to scavenge so ive delt with similar cases a few times.

Your shih-tzu is going to shi*- zoon. Don't worry it is the coca (real Chocolate) that will make them sick. PS GOT MILK?? Seriously, call your vet if he is symptomatic or your still worried
