How do I flush a dogs ears?
I am a dog groomer and I would like to learn new ways to treat dirty ears. I would like to know other groomers techniques for flushing ears.

going to a vet is not an answer.

You never flush a dogs ears. A dog needs to keep it's ears dry rather than wet.
Go to your local pet store and get some Epi-Otic, it's a skin and ear cleanser for dogs and cats. It is very safe to use and works the same way as you describe 'human flushing'

put some ear cleaner in the dogs ear and gently massage the ear canal the dog will love it, then take a cotton ball and wipe it dry.
(the dog won't like the cleaner being put in the ear but as soon as you start to massage it, it feels great)
