Whats the best and safest dental treats for my dog?

My dog won't let me brush their his so trying to find ways to keep his teeth clean thats safe, good quality and won't kill him like many other treats. Help?
Raw bison bones.

No dentastick, greenie, or other dental "treat" is actually hard enough to remove the plaque/tartar. Most use chemicals + enzymes to dissolve it off, and some dental diets do as well (eg medi-cal dental diet)

Keep in mind that NO dog chews witht their canines so plaque and tartar will still build up on these, even with bones, so brushing the teeth with a finger brush and pet toothpaste (human toothpaste is too high in fluoride and will cause them to vomit ) is the best thing to do .. it works better than any treat or dental diet.
A raw chicken quarter, or a nice frozen cow hock (although some fear the harder bones can cause injury to the teeth. In fact, Zeke has had an enamel defect on one canine where most of the enamel has chipped away. However, this is most likely from chewing on sticks as a puppy, as he has had it for years and was just started on raw 2 years ago).

Chewing and ripping on raw bone and tendon is great at cleaning the teeth, and completely chemical free. As natural as you can get.

What we like to do is go to the grocery store, purchase a large bag of cow hocks (large bones with a small amount of meat on them) then we freeze them. Then we put the dogs out in the back yards and give them to them as a treat. They lay out there chewing for hours, and for a 4 year old dog Zeke has VERY nice clean teeth.
There is a cleanser you can use. Clenz a dent. try it out. There are also some cleaners you can add to their water.

NO BONES
Vet or Pet shop will give you best advise but raw chicken wings and very large grisly bones and leather chew toys were what my dog had. She had pretty good teeth.
I use Charlie Bear treats sold in Petco and Petsmart. These treats are very safe and the ingredients are good for the dog
Raw meaty bones. You dog will love it and chewing on bones cleans their teeth.
Raw chicken on the bone.
