chuahuah vomiting yellow, sounds nasaly? read for details?

  my 11 year old chihuahua has chf (congestive heart failure) and dry heaves and occasionally pukes because of it, but today she was doing a different puke.

it didnt sound like it was coming from her throat as her usuall heaving sounds, it sounded like she was blowing out her nose and it was stuffed or something. she was puking up a mustard yellow color slime (it wasnt foamy, just liquidy with some peices in it) ..... what could this be? I dont think its kennal cough, or anything to do with her heart failure, i think it maybe a sinus issue or something? please help thanks!:}
Sounds like she's vomiting bile, its basically vomiting on an empty stomach, so its stomach acid she is vomiting, Stuff from the lungs tends to be foamy

If I were you I'd call my vet and get an appointment for as soon as possible, if you can scoop some of the vomit up using a spoon (not paper towel) and save it in a container so your vet can see, give her something bland like boiled chicken and white rice for dinner (unless she's on a prescription diet, in which case just feed her a smaller than normal dinner, and if she keeps it down feed her the rest later tonight) and make sure she is still drinking normally, and check for dehydration periodically, lift the skin at the back of her neck then let it go if it doesn't snap back right away she might be dehydrated

Good luck, I hope she's ok
My dog was vomiting yellow bile every morning and the vet advised us that it was due to an empty stomach. She advised us to feed him something like cheese later on at night so that his stomach was not empty in the morning. He has only been sick a couple of times since we started doing this. He only gets a couple of little cubes of cheese but it seems to work.
Yellow is bile. She is bringing up her stomach contents.

I would get her to the vet tomorrow to be checked.

If the vomiting happens more than 3 - 4 times today, find an emergency vet and go today.

If it only happens a couple of times today, you can wait for tomorrow when your vet is open.

But CHF dogs can develop other secondary symptoms.

Edit: Do NOT try to feed a vomiting dog. Take food and water away for 6 hours. Her stomach needs to settle. Giving a vomiting dog food or water makes the stomach say 'Ouch' and bring everything back up again.

After 6 hours give her a tablespoon of tepid water. If she keeps that down for half an hour you can give her another tablespoon. Make sure the water is room temperature not cold. If she brings it back up again, take all water and food away and get her to the vet first thing tomorrow morning.
