If your dog only took a few licks of the liquid your dog will maintain a positive state of well being, although this doesn't mean that soda pop is good for dogs. Soda contains sugar and high fructose corn syrup which isn't only bad for the K-9 species but is also bad for human health as well.
In conclusion: Your dog will be fine, just do not give it anymore.

dogs have a large percentage of "sweet" tastebuds, so they may be attracted to your sweeter snacks, however they do not metabolize sugar very well, so try to keep it away. a smidgen wont hurt him though
haha dogs are stronger than you think. Nothing will happen, i guarantee it. Soda is just carbonated water, sugar, and flavoring, along with a bunch of other not-so-good stuff, but not enough to harm a dog.
