My beagle does this thing sometimes when he has a bone where he'll put it in a corner and then rub his nose on the ground towards it several time. What is this behavior?
Hee-Hee, he is trying to bury his food for later! I used to have a boxer/pit mix who would bury bones and his dog bowls and food. He would actually carry the bowls off into the trees and bury them for later. He was a stray when we found him and I figure this was just his survival instinct kicking in ..
Normal behaviour. Some dogs like to "bury" food to hide it for later.
Sounds like a quirk. My Beagle mix never did that, lol.
