when cooking for my dogs, do they need a vitamin supplement?

instead of commercial dog food I feed my 2 dogs ground turkey, steamed veggies and brown rice - need to know if they need additional vitamin supplement.
Absolutely and thank you for thinking about that. Here is a start http://www.buzzle.com/articles/homemade- ...
When you choose to feed your pups homemade food, you mus include doggie vits, too. (Please don't try humon vits cuz canine needs are different. Go to a pet store and look at the selections - they will vary according to breed, activity and size. If you aren't sure, talk with a store associate.

Also, when my sheltie was having some digestive problems, my vet recommended including well cooked rice and green beans in his daily diet.

I don't know the value of the greens, but his stomach problems did clear up.

Good luck

Yes I would give them. People at the pet store are really helpful about questions when you go to buy them.
