hi my dog is around 60-61 days pregant been told at her scan she got 4 plus she is the size of a beach whale. she is a brindle staffy on her last litter we had 6 and were all bitches.
the question i need to know is her temp is 37.1 and as i wasnt her when she had her last litter i arrived after the first pup was born i need to know do you think it will be any time soon before she goes into labour
Please consult with your vet or mentor.
I would like to first bring up that the temperature changing in a dam is NOT always accurate. I have assissted many litters in which the temperature changed hardly, but the dam still delivered a very healthy litter!
Anyways, if you get a temperature that says 97-99 degrees Fahrenheit and it's held for two readings taken twelve hours apart, it's a pretty good indicator that there will be puppies within the next 24 hours.
Also watch for other signs like her nesting, and restlessness, no or a [[decreased]] apetite, lying on side/birthing position, etc ..

After she's in birthing position, it is NORMAL for discharge. Then after discharge should come the sac, then following that, a puppy.
