Tickles is my 4 pound pomeranian and Star is my 52-60 pound Rottweiler. They are both grils, both fixed. When star goes near tickles crate she will growl ... or if tickles gets near her crate they will growl or if we are in the car they will grawl at eachother. I say "NO STOP THAT NOW!" and they stop but i dont want them to EVER do this again they do it allot im afraid that one day Star is going to snap and attack tickles one day! I love my dogs.
Tickles has lived here since she was a puppy but we just got star a few days ago ....

Desensitizing is a good method; not only it is humane and you never take your dog over his/her threshold; thus expanding that threshold in the long run and making for a less aggressive dog.
Basically it involves starting small and working up to the big picture; if you Google it there are tons of helpful articles and videos out there.
