After 3 years of having her with us, and diagnosed with epilepsy, her seizures just wouldn't stop. We took her to the vets who doped her up with medicine of the highest dose they could but they still wouldn't stop. We gave her phenobarb, and shots to calm her seizures but it wouldn't work .. finally .. this morning she was dead ..
What do we do now? Do we bury her? Notify the vet?
Just make sure you dig deep enough, else something might dig it back up and you'll find it's rotten, half eaten body on your porch in the morning .
Sometimes there is an underlying cause to the seizures and until you find out what it is can you get help .. Sometimes a brain tumor which is inoperable will cause this and they d/n stop .. If you have a place that cremates dogs you can call them .. pet cemetaries usually offer this service or you can call the Vet and they will send her out to be cremated.If you don't want to do that than bury her.Find a warm blanket to wrap her in and get some Lime to sprinkle over the remains so animals don't dig her up but please don't just throw her in the garbage .. Thats what the Vet will do if you don't want the remains back and they go to a rendering plant to be made into dog food ..
notifying the vet wont do much good at this point sadly. Im very sorry to hear of your loss. have your family bury the pup, and perhaps let everyone share in saying a brief word about her, this is what i did with my dog brandon, and it helped us cope with his passing. if you'd like, place a small cross out there or a stone.

disbose of the body properly and alert the vet of her passing, so they dont have to keep any records.
Most vets will take the body for you if you do not have anywhere to bury.
