White growth on dogs gum?
Its right where the gums meets the tooth on the top of his mouth, its doesnt seem painful, He's been chewing on one of those nylabones, I dont know if that matters. I'm going to take him to the vet but I was just curious if this is an emergency and if anyones come across this. thanks.
Make sure it doesn't grow any more and if it does, bring him to the vet as soon as possible. If not, schedule a vet appointment in the next few days. It sounds almost like a canker sore for humans, but getting it checked won't hurt. If it goes away in the meantime, cancel the appointment and check frequently to see if he keeps getting them as it could be an allergy.

if you have applied pressure to the white spot and he didnt show signs of hurting then he is fine if his gums start turnin completely white then worry about takin him to a vet
It is not an emergency, no. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Dogs can get warts in their mouths. Usually these are harmless unless the dog gets so many of them or they grow large enough to interfere with eating and drinking. In dogs under two, there's a fairly common virus that causes these warts and the problem usually resolves on its own.

Here's a link on Canine Viral Papilloma that you can compare against what you are seeing: http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_can…

You do want to get any growth evaluated by your vet though, so glad that you are bringing him in.
