My dog was shaking choking and lost control of his bodily function what does that mean?
he was convusing for 20 minutes then started choking slobering jaw wide open then started peeing i thought we were going to loose him his eyes he looked very scared
Call a vet IMMEDIATELY. It sounds like a possible poisoning case. You can't deal with this alone.
What this means is that you should take your dog in to see the vet ASAP!! A.S.A.P. That's really disconcerting.
It sounds like a seizure to me. I strongly suggest immediate taking him to the vet.
Even if its not a seizure it sounds serious, If it happened to you friend wouldn't you take him to the hospital?!
most likely he just had a seizure..not good
this is from poisoning you should call a vet!!! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
he probably ate a rat poison or got bitten by a spider or a snake.

he needs a vet or he may die.

It means you get off the computer and put the dog in the car right now and take him to an emergency vet.
My dog did the same thing and it was a seizure. Take him to the vet tonight if possible, my family couldn't go the night my dog had hers but she went the next day and the vet said that was fine. But I am not a vet, this could be something much worse so I'd take him ASAP
Your dog sounds like he has been poisoned or suffered some kind of allergy attack. Depending where you live in the world, the reason for poisoning is different. Here in Australia, dogs and cats get bitten by poisonous snakes and spiders all the time. First things first, stay calm. Dogs pick up on nervous energies and stress won't help him at a time like this. Clean him up if he's soiled himself. I don't mean a bath, just wiping away with a towel will stop him from feeling uncomfortable. Don't put him in a pet carrier, just wrap him in a blanket (with his head sticking out) and hold him like a baby as you hurry to the nearest vet. Don't worry if you don't have an appointment, vets will make time for you in an emergency. Please don't let your dog wait for a long time, he needs to be there as soon as possible, or you may lose your friend. Your vet will do all they can to try and keep the venom from reaching his heart. If he makes it through this, you will need to monitor what he eats and drinks, and give him loads of love. Keep him indoors for a while, so he doesn't get exhausted. I hope your dog will be ok, you two will be in my thoughts. xxx
RING VET EMERGENCY NUMBER AND TAKE HIM THERE IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. HE COULD HAVE BEEN POISONED OR HAVE A MAJOR DISORDER.

It means you should take him to a vet! NOW! stop sitting on your computer and do somthing!
This does sound like a seizure. And quite a severe one if it lasted 20 minutes. It could be a one-off, and you could risk waiting to see if it happens again, but if this was my dog, I'd have him to my vet, for a full check to see if there's something obvious going on. Seizures are normally more upsetting for the owner, than for the dog and the fact he looked scared was just because he wasn't in control of his faculties, and that would worry anybody!

Fitting isn't necessarily epilepsy ** - and with the older dog, it can be caused by a number of things. But he does need checking out. You might check with his breeder, to see whether there is any history of epilepsy in his background - but do it in a non-accuratory way. You'll get more information, which could be helpful for your vet. if you don't go in hard with this news!

** and this could indeed be the result of a bite, or sting but ..... ?
