I cant decide!! which one?
i cannot decide!!
i KNOW they are all different groups but i really cannot narrow it down anymore.
based on experience which one would be best for me and why?

-boxer
-german shepherd
-pug
-greyhound
-cocker spaniel
-pembroke welsh corgi
-italian greyhound
-sheltie
-shiba inu
-golden retriever

ugh i know its a big messed up list but i love all of them.

*i am a nurse, i have a big apartment and i run over an hour a day(i can adjust depending on the dog)

thanks
golden retriever or greyhound:)
If the dog would have no access to a yard while you are at work remove any of the big breeds you have listed here. Remove any that have a short nose or a long body. Shiba inu are difficult to train and can be very head strong. i would stick with a good sheltie or cocker.
golden retriever
shiba's are great, but they do shed. they need exercise, but can be home alone for long periods of time. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

hope this helps :)

dogs rock :))
my fav dogs (within your list) are cocker spaniel, golden retriever, pembroke welsh corgi, and SHIBA INU!!!

i would say get the shiba inu... they are so cute
with being a nurse in an apt i would say a golden retriever. boxers and german shepherds need alot of room and small dogs are not really built for running the retriever can keep up with your running your schedule at work and they are a loving loyal breed that will be waiting to greet you at the door
If you want a jogging partner, Greyhounds (couch potatoes) and Pugs (breathing problems due to short muzzle) are out.

Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds are quite large and shed a lot, too, so I'm not sure if you'd want that, living in an apartment. Boxers are large, too, and are pretty heavy shedders, too, although it isn't as noticeable with the shorter fur.

EDIT: Okay, so Shibas are back in. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Personally, I'd go with a smaller sized dog in an apartment for more space.

If you are okay with a larger dog, I really like Goldens, and if you end up wanting a smaller dog, I'd choose a Sheltie out of the breeds you listed above.
Shiba Inus are magnificent dogs but not for an inexperienced dog person.
Consider the sheltie or corgi. Both can fit nicely into an apartment lifestyle.
not a big dog cause then they need tons of room and tons of excise a small dog might be good like a shiba inu
I'm obsessed with goldens they r soo sweet great with Kids and loyal but on the down side a lot of hair Id get a golden
In an apartment with only one hour of running a day (and even that is more than most dogs get, I know), I would choose a less active breed. So, rule out the boxer, greyhound (yes, they are couch potatoes, but they are also built to run and need it), german shepherd, sheltie (which also requires a butt-load of grooming) and shiba.

Pugs can be expensive because of potential respiratory problems. Cocker Spaniels pee at the drop of a hat (or even just the sight of a hat).

That leaves the Retriever or a Corgi (or Corgi mix from a shelter!), which I think are adorable.

Most of these are pretty high energy, intelligent dogs.

Shibas are difficult and if you aren't really, really dedicated to them, I wouldn't recommend one.
Pugs are TERRIBLE running partners.
A Greyhound you could work with, and they're pretty low key. They could fit.
GSDs require intelligent, strong trainers, and attaining a well-bred one is an expensive endeavor.
Boxers are very energetic - running may not be enough!
A well-conditioned Cocker could keep with that pace, but again you'll need good breeding behind it.
Corgis probably could not deal with that much running on hard concrete given their backs and legs.\ pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Shelties are very noisy, not great apartment dogs.
Goldens are smart, but if you're not going to train plenty they're not the dog for you.

Even if you like all these dogs, obviously not all of them can be good matches to your lifestyle. Base your decision off what dog you can live with comfortably and vise versa, not just appearance and charm.
Well, if you run that much id remove the pug because they can not run that far, cocker spaniels have very short legs and may not be able to keep up. Personally i like either a gray hound (for apt life and they run well) or a Golden retriever.
