How can i stop puppy from growling?
last night my 18 week old cavalier x cocker spaniel managed to work his way onto the sofa, even though it was blocked off, when my wife went to pick him up to stop him jumping down and hurting himself, he growled at her. im guessing it was more of a warning growl. but how can i go about to eliminate this behaviour completely. he seems to have done it a few times to my wife now, and i don't want him growing up and keep doing this. i don't think he will bite when he does it, but i just need some answers.
Sit down next to it and stroke it until it feels comfortable and then pick it up and take it into another room. Keep doing this until it stops growling at you.

She has to correct the pup.If you do it , it will not respect her when you aren't there.
Dogs like to prove dominance. If she backs down,She is below that pup in pecking order
