Can my dog still live even she is in critical stage?
my dog have erchiliosis and pyometra at the same time, her nipples, buccal mucosa and skin turns white from pink, the vet says she has sunken eyeballs and is in critical stage, her liver is also failing thats why her eyes have some yellow portions, but my dog still eats when given food and water and antibiotics by syringe, now we got him confined and is still hoping that my dog can make it? i need an honest answer to prepare my self for anything its hard because she is now 7yrs old
may be,
This is not a good situation. She will die from this eventually, but your vet will be the person who can tell you best just how long he thinks she has. It could be days, weeks, or months, and you should prepare yourself.

My suggestion, having been through this recently, is to get another dog now. One dog can never replace another, just as one child can never replace another. But having another dog helps to ease the pain. When our senior dog developed a degenerative problem, we adopted another dog. Ironically, they adored one another. He lived for 8 more months and when he died this spring, we had a dog we had to comfort and she comforted us too, and it didn't feel like we were "replacing" the dog who died.

This is also the time for your family to discuss aftercare options. What are your plans for her after she dies?

I am so sorry that your dog is so sick. God bless.
