Why does my dog yawn very loud at me when I am trying to put food in her bowl?
Ok so everyday when I feed my 1.5 year old Rottie, I tell her to sit for her food. This makes it easier for me to put food in the bowl faster. But when I do this she yawns very loud at me? I don't know why?? She's not doing it in a mean way though.

I just find this a little weird. Why is this??
It sounds like shes telling you to hurry up shes hungry!!LOL

She's excited and impatient. She's talking to you. I think it's cute.
Sounds like she's just excited. Dogs yawn when they are nervous and sometimes they do it because of anticipation. She sounds fine
She's bored because you are too slow to feed her up and at the same time with the same command to sit up every feeding time.
My cat just meows at me, but it'd be cooler if it yawned instead. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

It's probably just your dog saying its bored of waiting. You never know, you might do it unconsciously when you're pouring milk into your cereal lol
yawning in dogs is a sign of stress or anxiety. It just means she is somewhat anxious to get to her food. No need to tell her to stop, it is normal.
