My new dog is acting weird?
I got a new dog 3 weeks ago. She sleeps in my bed. This morning my mom came in to take her and when she touched her she squealed really loud. The rest of the day she was acting weird. She wouldnt respobd to her name and she wasnt as hyper. She seems scared of us. She doesnt really want to go to the bathroom. I also noticed that she used to be able to go uo the stairs very quick but now she goes slow. She went to the vet for the first tine yesterday and got shots, so my mom thinks that she is just sore. What could it be? Thanks
Has she been eating okay? When was the last time you saw her use the bathroom. Urine or poop? If so did it look normal.
Vaccines rarely cause a painful reaction like that. Being stressed out from it though might be a possibility, still doesnt explain the yelp though. I highly recommend taking her back to the vet, and maybe even run some blood tests.

I work at a vet.
Vaccinosis. Vets will rarely tell you about it. They will just treat the symptoms. She should feel better in 2-3 days. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Camsi Popsi,
Your dog is simply adjusting to its new envronment. Give it some time and it'll be okay. It is no different than your moving into a new neighborhood, you're going to feel weird for awhile until you get to know the people in the area and makes friends etc. Like I said, give the dog time to adjust to its new surroundings. Getting your dog shots can have some side effects physically, but not psychologically. I hope that I have been of some help to you and your new dog.

A reaction to the vaccine is my bet.
Call your vet for advice. They should follow up without charging you unless they're jerks. In which case, there are probably more vets where you live.
