Help with Bulldog gas?
Awkward question but while holding my sister's English Bulldog today she had such bad gas! I am trying to get one of my own and I don't mind some of it but she was BAD! I read that less corn and grain products in their food help and a teaspoon of yogurt each night. Is this true?
Some good grain free brands:
Orijen, Acana, EVO, Canidae grain free, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, Taste of the Wild, Wilderness Core.
that may help, but honestly they are just a gassy breed! so prepare yourself for some stinkiness! haha
yes, that can help. dogs digestive system isnt fit to digest grain and corn. i would suggest your sister putting her dog on a bland diet, seeing as gas could be a sign of overfeeding, feeding too much in one sitting, upset stomach, etc. many people i've known say bulldogs generally have gas. however, if its excessive, or chronic, it could mean a more serious problem, like something with the GI. if she's feeding low quality, she needs to upgrade to high quality kibble or switch to a raw diet.
Give diet food, give pedigree to your dog.
