HELP!!! MY DOG HAS A DEEP CUT!?
i have a 2 year old pomeranian mix dog and ive only had her around for a week but she had a fight with our neighbor's cat just today and i didn't see anything wrong with her until i took her for a walk at the end of the day and saw a very deep cut that's not bleeding. I haven't given her any anti oxides or anything but its approximately 3-4 mm deep and im very worried, im really embarrised that i cant take her to the vet because i really can't afford to pay for anyhting, i live in sydney australia. It would be much appreciated if someone helps.
Well, I think the only choice you have is to take your dog to the vet. I mean if the injury is serious, you can not do anything and even everything can get worser. So if you love your dog, take him to the Vet.

I don't need a source, I am a mastermind
Borrow some money from some one! take her to a vet! that's all you can do bandage her foot!
Rinse it with hydrogyn peroxide three times a day and coat it with triple antibiotic ointment. Watch carefully for signs of infection -- puss, inflamed. etc. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

It's possible you can heal this up yourself, but please be careful.

Bring him to the vet!
If the cut is not properly tended to it will get infected and then you will have a HUGE vet bill.
Vet bills are part of responsible pet ownership. Why did you get a dog if you can't afford to look after it?
Can you borrow from friends or family? Your dog needs to be taken to the vet because cat scratches will cause infection for sure. Left untreated the infection will become systemic and your dog will be very sick.

Why did you get a dog if you have no money to pay for a vet visit?
Hi, I have to agree. Your dog really should see a vet. I realise that vet bills can be quite expensive, but that is the responsibility you have as an owner. From your description you gave the wound appears to be quite severe and left too long you risk infection and this will only cause more problems. Please take your dog to the vet asap!
it is unfourtunate that you cant take him to the vet so, pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
I would say to clean the wound..wrap it up very well..because naturally the dog is going to want the wrap off..it will become annoying..but it will say you money in the future ( and obviously prevent from disease and rot, etc) and if you can tell if he is in pain...you can give him a little Benadryl

(usually there is a vet clinnic open 24hrs. within say 60 miles..so call them and ask..because they will often help with questions..so ask about giving your dog benadryl)

Benadryl is a brand name for an anti-histamine (diphenhydramine). Although it is considered fairly safe for use in dogs and cats, please be aware that it does have potential adverse side effects. It may interact with other meds that your pet is taking, so do not use it without first consulting your veterinarian. You should also use extreme caution using Benadryl in dogs that have glaucoma, prostatic disease, cardiovascular disease or hyperthyroidism.

(it may work to subdue the pain)
Benadryl is quite effective when used in proper dosages. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Good for motion sickness
Can be used as a mild tranquilizer

Be sure to use only the plain Benadryl formula. Giving benadryl with other combination of meds could be fatal, so be sure to read the box. Make sure is is Bendadryl ONLY, not a combination of pain relievers.

Liquid Benadryl is too high in alcohol content to be safely used for animals. Please use capsule or pill form.
