Do you think this dog is dangerous? I want oppinions.?
I own a rotweiller and when ever I have friends over they're affraid of getting attacked and it's the same thing when my mom has a friend over and brings a baby over she freaks out and wants him locked in a room, I want your honest oppinoin about this dog I think they're terribly misunderstood , and wish people could give them a chance.
it depends on the dog, has he given them some reason to be afraid? If not, a lot of people do judge dogs based on their breed or looks. You cant really change what they think, unfortunately. Just be sure your dog is well trained so you can impress them with his obedience, and maybe this will change their minds, in time.
Rottweilers are actually pretty solid family dogs. Bred in germany as guard dogs they often get a bad reputation because PEOPLE TRAIN THEM IRRESPONSIBLY. With lots of love and attention they're fine.

Many aggressive dogs (including rottweilers) use territorial and protective motive to bite or snap at someone it doesn't know. Any dog can bite- but I suggest you REALLY train your dog to be friendly just for perks with the family and friends. Train your dog is the bottom line. If your dog is naturally sweet- then it probably won't bite unless seriously threatened.
They most certainly are misunderstood, but out of respect for people who don't feel comfortable around him (which he will pick up on!), take him out of the room. There's no point forcing him on anybody.
No, rotweilers are not dangerous. They are very loyal dogs. They may look scary, but if it is friendly and you teach it to be a good dog, then it wont attack your friends and family.. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
They are fantastic dogs, and they do get along with small children.

If your dog has shown aggression in the past towards other people, then yes - the dog is dangerous. If there has been no sign of aggression - then everyone is over-reacting.

i like large and giant breeds the most :)
but i think your friends and moms friends are just scared because they r thought of as guard/attack dogs.
but no, i dont judge any type of dog. i always come face to face with the scarier breeds cuz they r usually pretty sweet.
mastiffes, rotweillers, pit bulls, dobermans, and great danes (i own great danes.)
some dogs get bad reps but i personally have never backed away from a dog or been afraid of one unless its given me reason to...and that was prolly one small dog. haha
and im a small 19 yr old girl
haha
It is not the breed that makes a dog dangerous, It is the person who trains the dog. Even if this dog hasnt had the proper training you can get it the proper training. 1 never hit the dog for anything. 2 dont play tug of war with the dog 3 Teach the dog you are the Alpha 4 Lots of socialization through dog training classes and or dog park, 4 get the dog their shots 5 tell your friends that there is nothing to be afraid of, these dogs can even be around babies and be ever so loving and gentle. I highly recommend that if you don't know how to train dogs to take and get them in dog classes 1 to better bond with your dog 2 make everyone else feel more comfortable 3 to teach you how to be Alpha without being harsh because harshness will make these breeds mean 4 to teach tricks (When peole see your dog do tricks they will be amazed and feel more relaxed, they wont think so much about the breed they will only think "how well trained and obedient this dog is.") At least do the training yourself using clicker training is best and most successful, and train her to do a few tricks like shake and roll over maybe another few to put people at more ease
