Best dog food to feed my Maltese?
i want to get dry food for my dog that will make her coat look shinny and white..i normally give her Iams dry food,then i got her science diet cuz i heard thats good,but i saw no difference in her hair,then i tried eukanbu and nothing either,my dogs hair at the end off her booty is getting very dry and a bit golden blonde.you cant tell from far when i brush her i can see it,so i want to get her a good food that will help with her dry and dull hair..and of course her health.so please let me know what dog food is good for maltese.oh and my dog is 2yrs old.
also i was told by my uncle that blue buffalo is good as well.i normally spend 26 bucks on her food not including the wet food i mix her food with.her dry food last for a couple months,like 4 i think.

Chances are the discoloration of her fur at the back is from her urine and/or feces landing on it. You could take her to a professional groomer and ask for a "sanitary clip" -- it's designed to keep her hair out of reach of her waste.

I cannot recommend feeding any of the commercial varieties of meat-flavored baked paste with chemicals added. Instead, why not feed your dog actual food? The dog’s natural diet is raw meat on the bone. Try it. The dog will love it, the diet will help him teethe properly as a pup, satisfy his lifelong need to chew, keep his teeth clean and his feces innocuous.
