rottiss can any one suggest?

i have a 12week rotti shes good in some ways why does she always growl at me i pick her up took her but just goes for me i havent hit her im very lovin to her but she pays me back by biting or goin 3 me
I agree with Piper. Be the ALPHA! She is in a learning stage, and, how she minds has to do with that you teach her and how you react. If you play with her and tease her and she is doing this, you are more or less telling her it is okay to do and you are allowing it.

Getting her worked up then frustrated/angry she bites, snaps, groiwls at you is sending her mixed messages. You need to stand your ground, and be a good master/teacher/owner. There is a time to play, but, she needs to know what is appropriate and not. Don't allow her to do it one minute then diuscipline her the next. She will get confused.

Stay in your element. YOU are not a toy, or one that should be targeted with growling and snipping. Discipline her the way her Mother would by firmly grasping her muzzle with your hand on the snout and under the jaw, and, holding it there while telling her "NO" and NO MORE! Do this immediately when she exhibits such behavior. When she is acting good ,....... praise her and give her a treat. She will learn the difference.

When you discipline her, Hold the muzzle until she submits into a sitting to a laying position. If she retaliates afterwards, repeat the same discipline. Then parise her after she shows she is listening. You don't want a Rottweiler going into adulthood with this kind of behavior.

If you are not the owner, and, say your just a member of the family, your Mom or Dad should correct her. However; you are to be respected also. Just the same, do not encourage wrong behavior. Take her out and throw a ball, or a large chew toy, or other appropriate toy or item. When playing with dogs, it's never good to use your hands as part of the activity except for petting or giving treats. NEVER strike the dog, or scream at her. There are correct ways to doing things.

I too own a Rottweiler Female along with two German Shepherds. My Rotty is as well tempered a dog as I have ever had, and, she is wonderful. However; know this ,......... growling from a Rotty is their way of talking. If she's doing such whilke showing teeth she is angry and not being proper. Teach her well now, or you may regret it later down the road.

Encourage the true Alpha (Mom or Dad) to take part in her instruction and discipline. However; you must maintain yourself as part of the authority above her. Don't tease her or anything that promotes poor temperment. There bis no reason for a Rottweiler to act badly unless they are not raised and taught properly. DO what is proper. You'll be glad for it later I assure you.

ALSO: She is going through teething right now also. That makes a dog uncomfortable and it's somewhat painful. They will want to chew on things and also they are easily aggravated because those new teeth coming in are a bit o discomfort. Do not frustrate her more than she already uis. Give her a Rawhide roll or bone to help her teething. It will help her sooth the tetthing process and allow her to take out the anguish on the toy.

Best of luck!
That's the problem - YOU.

Stop babying her and start correcting her.

If it's nip or the biting barely hurts, it's teething, and I suggest soaking an old t-shirt or rope in cold water then freezing it .. you can do this with a kong, too.
What is it that you ' re doing that makes her growl at you? Dogs growl to communicate unease. Address the cause of the growling and not the growling itself otherwise problems will occur later on.
