Whats wrong with my dog She is obsessed ...?

So I got a new pom. And she has an obsessions with her toys she doesn't stop playing fetch, all day everyday she cant sleep unless she has it with her and right when she wakes up she brings it to you to play .. . And if i hide it from her she cries till she has it back. and follows me around the house and when I stop moving she put the toy in my lap ... This is everyday every min ... Is it normal?? or is their any way i can get her off this addiction??
Is it always the same toy, or any toy she will obsess over?

This is possibly a learned behavior that her previous owners would reward her. Everytime she brings the toy, she gets it tossed away and that to her is her reward.

She is DEMANDING that you play with her NOW. You can incorporate tricks followed by her treat (treat meaning her toy). Start off slow, sit ... toss the toy. Sit, laydown ... toss the toy. Sit, laydown , rollover ... toss the toy. etc ... She will learn that she has to be patient and do a trick to get her toy. Alot of bomb sniffing dogs are taught tricks/behaviors and the reward is to chew on their favorite toy. You can use her obsession over the toy as a way to get her to do tricks. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

You can also train her to be patient, after a few moments of sitting quietly ... give her the toy. Then gradually increase the amount she has to sit patiently or go to her bed then gets the toy.

I love the "tug-a-jug" is a food dispensing toy that the dog has to manipulate to get the dog kibble. You can get her one and for while she will change her focus onto the new toy and using her brain to figure out how to get the kibbles out. I like the tug-a-jug because rather then the dog woofing down her breakfast/dinner she has to be patient, and use skills to get her kibbles out. Look it up its a great toy .
Thats what my rottie doberman cross does, not nearly as much as yours though. Did she act like that when you visited her before taking her home? It may be because she is in a new environment and thats the way she reacts to the situation.

There probably isnt anything wrong with her, that may just be how she is.

I dont really know why she is doing this, but I hope this helps you, gd luck and I hope you get it solved!: D
All pups are like that they just want to play. She will grow out of it eventually when shes older. Maybe just take her for a walk or something and she will be too tired to play. Hope i helped:)
It's a polmeranian. They are overly affectionate.
