I dont think dogs should be neutered? What do you think abou

its not right to remove their parts from males and females.

Imagine if someone tried to castrate you, would you allow it?

We humans get way ahead of ourselves sometimes, dont we?

I am going to give my dog to the breeder when he is atleast 2 yrs old for breeding.I wont neuter him.
You have every right to think the way you do but if all dogs were not neutered then there would be lots more unwanted dogs out there because there are some people who just let their dogs roam the streets and if they weren't neutered we'd be over run with dogs.

What you do is your choice.

Very funny!!!

I like your answer, Piper-won BDD
Is basing some notion of medical justification to castrate dogs for prevention of cancer, any different to castrating a 8-year-old boy to prevent the minimal risk of later-life testicular/prostate cancer.?

Do the people who say "There are so many unwanted puppies in the world already, so it is the responsible thing to do - to nueter your puppies" apply the same logic to human over-population? pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Modern research shows that castration actually has a higher chance of leading to highly malignant prostatic cancer, and nearly all dogs afflicted with this nasty tumor are neutered individuals. Virtually all malignant prostatic tumors in dogs occur in castrated dogs. Castrating your dog puts him at risk for one of the worst cancers he can get.

In comparison, testicular cancers are very rare and almost always benign. While you remove the very slight risk of testicular cancer in castrated dogs, that's a small matter; the incidence of testicular cancer is so minimal. Also, almost all testicular cancers in dogs are benign.

Many owners wish to castrate their male puppies thinking that all sorts of behavioral problems will be solved, But this is not only wrong - it is the lazy person's excuse to avoid training. Castration is often just the search for the "quick fix" for people who don't wish to invest the time and effort necessary to train & care for their dogs properly.
I think it is actually very selfish for people not to neuter their dogs "just because".

Dogs are used and abused by humans (including as breeding machines). There are millions - yes, MILLIONS - of dogs dying in pounds, at rescue centres and vet surgeries just because too many have been bred and not enough people want them.

I had my dog spayed. She was a stray and if I hadn't adopted her would have been put down. She is a wonderful dog.

Spaying eliminates the risk of potentially fatal diseases like pyometra and womb/ovarian cancer and reduces the risk of mammary cancer. It also means you don't have to worry about them coming into heat and having to keep them confined.

Dogs don't think about their balls in the same way you do. They don't care - they really don't. Many male dogs are much happier and easier to train once they've been castrated as they don't have that big surge of testosterone all the time.

I think of it like this: it's not natural for dogs to be as they are today (domesticated and bred for certain features) so you can't really use neutering not being natural as an excuse. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If it was a life or death situation, I'm sure any human would have themselves sterilised. And that is what this is, a life or death situation. While there are so many dogs being killed, I will NOT even accidentally contribute to that .
There are female humans that have been spayed in this world. It is called hysterectomy. Also think of it a male can make babies, but a female has so much more work. I think that using dogs for breeding is fine or we wouldn't have any more dogs, but I guess what I don't like is people that don't get their dogs spayed or neutered and then breed them to death (literally) and don't care. Also those can be considered as puppy mills which really piss me off. I also know that there are tons of shelter dogs just looking for that second chance. I have one dog from a breeder and two dogs that are shelter dogs and the two from the shelter are so much more lovable and sweeter than the dog from the breeder. I just wish you had a better reason. We need to take care of the dogs that are on this earth now vs making the problem worse. I am thinking that giving your dog to a breeder to breed him you are just making the problem worse addding more dogs into this world that will have to be taken care of. Sorry if this sounds mean, but this is how I feel. Opinions are like *** holes everyone has one and sometimes they stink.
I think you are on a hiding to nothing around here! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Obviously you've decided what you think and are going to do, so what's the point answering your question.

Just one thing - do NOT use human ideas and perceptions when thinking about dogs/cats - any animal for that matter. At least we can neuter animals to prevent over-population - hopefully only bringing the best of the species into the world!!
