Ive had 2 dogs for about a year but they are always barking and snapping at each other they never hit each other are though. Are they just playing or do they hate each other

canines have a social order in the pack. if your dog are being aggressive toward one another then you need to be sure to keep them separated. they are bidding for the alfa position. it does help to get them spayed or neutered , this takes away some of the aggression. just some of it. if your dogs ever get to each other under no circumstance do you try to get into the mix, you will most certainly get bit maybe even badly bitten. the best way I know to break up a dog fight is to use something that make a really loud noise, like a metal cooking pot being pounded on with a large metal spoon if the fight is indoors. if out doors I use fire crackers the sudden loud noise breaks the concentration and startles them into stopping. get them fixed and this will go a long way in them accepting one another, be cautious about the aggression they have toward each other. hope this helps
You are humanizing the dogs, they don't have the ability to "hate each other." You didn't describe it very well but it could be rough play, battling for dominance in their little pack, or fighting over resources; you really didn't give enough description.
Remind your Chihuahuas that YOU are alpha & will not tolerate this behavior from them. I have a zero tolerance policy with my Chihuahuas. If you can't get along, I will separate you. I am the boss. Period. I will not let this infighting go on in MY pack. As long as I can tell that mine are just playing, it's allowed.
