Puppy hit his head, staggering?

About an hour ago we went to feed our puppies and my brother-in-law was putting them over the doggy gate and dropped the runt male about 3 inches from the ground. He landed on his chin, he was very disoriented and could't walk straight falling down, wobbling ect.

We went ahead and fed them he was very hungry but while eating off the plate he was laying on his chest with all legs out like he was swimming.

He is feeling better now walking better and straight but is sleeping.

I'm not very happy right now because I don't think thats normal.

Should we still be concerned even though he is acting better?

He isn't showing any other symptoms.
Are you stupid?

If your child was staggering and flailing about I am sure you would take him/her to a doctor.

NO SH * T IT'S NOT NORMAL!

GET YOUR DOG TO AN ER VET. Money and distance are not an excuse to neglect a living creature.
To be honest I don't think there's much a vet can do for this puppy right now. However, even if just to put your mind at rest, it would be best to have him checked out. Meanwhile, keep an eye on him - maybe separating him from the rough and tumble of the litter for now. Obviously it's worrying, especially given he's the smallest of the lot . But most puppies are tough little beings, and he'll probably get over this. Of course, if he deteriorates, he'll need a vet asap.
Well he does sound fine but I would also recommend taking him to the vet.

It could just be a simple concousion cause dogs can get that too. Or could be something a bit more serious. So vet is the best option for sometimes puppy's will lead you on to how good their actually feeling.

He could be acting fine tomorrow or what not but you just never know.
When my rottweiler was a puppy he ran head first into the coffe table at full speed. He fell over then got up then fell over again he got tired but i wouldnt let him sleep i took him to the vet and they said that as long as hes not falling over anymore then he should be fine but if he starts throwing up alot from getting dizzy then bring him back in.
Take him to the vet. If he is only a puppy, he might have weak bones which are still growing. Therefore he might have splintered a bone. Or it could just be a concussion, but vet advice is always needed.

I would take him to the vet to make sure that he hasn't sustained any injuries. They're so vulnerable at that age.
I think its like if u hit ur head. Dizzy and stuff right? if ur that concerned take him to the vet
The world does not need more dogs. Please have the animals spayed/neutered.
Dogs/Puppies can get ,........ CAN GET. ....... Concussions. I wouldn't allow your BIL to handle your Pups if he drops them. This is a living animal and a baby for that matter. NEVER feed dog that could have a closed head injury (Concussion) etc ,.... or any head injury. Yes, you should take the pup to a Vet. He was probably dropped more than 3 inches. But, regardless, the pup WAS injured as you already described his symptoms proving such. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

It's worth the $ 35 - $ 50 to get him checked for HIS sake. He deserves to live, and, failure to take care of him at ANY time is not an excuse or even acceptable. The pup should have been laid down on a soft blanket and I don't know what the surface was, but, anything other than something soft is like concrete.

His future and rest of his life can be determined what you do now. Or, what you don't do. Can you live with that? If you are not committed to top care at any given moment, you probably should not be allowed to have litters. Regardless if this is a mixed breed or full blooded.

You can't hope that it "goes away". You must treat a puppy/Dog as responsible as you would treat a child. Anything short of that, such people should NOT have a dog.
