Possibly, depending on the circumstances.
If left the dog was left long enough without food and your body started to putrefy the dog may start to have a lick and a nibble and then it would escalate from there on. No good being sentimental and naive over this issue. Dogs will be dogs . Even when humans have been starving to death and there was a dead companion, they have been known to eat some human flesh to survive.
I take it you watched Pit Bulls and Parolees. The deceased person was homeless and the dog was trapped inside a shed with the body for days. it was the only way for it to survive. Presumably you are a child who is not homeless (unless you are using the library computers) and your parents would not let that happen.
what a strange question to ask ... well i wouldn't really know, because i've never been faced with such a situation, but i doubt the dog would eat you. most dogs are very loyal and might not know if you were dead or not. until of course you start decomposing, but even then, the dog would probably still recognize your scent and not eat you. i personally wouldn't really care if my dog ate me if it meant it would survive. although the thought is pretty disturbing.
No.Domestic dogs will not ... unless you haven't been feeding him or her.Not all dogs will die beside you. Some will run away only because they don't want to owned by someone else. And speaking of loyalty the human has to be loyal not the dog.All animals are innocent.Humans have to prove they are worthy of their time.
Yes. All dogs and cats will do this instead of starving to death. Their real worry is lack of water. And you won't stay fit to eat for long. Don't put your pets in that situation of you can avoid it.
Loyalty love and all that other nonsense have NOTHING to do with survival instincts. YES your dog would eat you to survive when the dog food has run out or the dog cannot find it.
if he is a new dog and barely knows you probably but if you've had him all his life he wouldnt eat you enless he had to
That's like winning the lottery. Rarely does anything like that happen.
Probably not. If it's loyal it'll die right beside you.
Does it really mater you wont know anyways ............
