Are choc labs naughter than black and golden labs?

  ^ ^ ^
.. First, it is yellow Labs.

Color does not determine temperament.

However, color is genetic, as temperament is. The majority of chocolates are from "field bred", hunting lines. And they tend to have a LOT of drive, which is energy. This drive to work, if not satisfied and this energy , if not offered a release can make them seem "naughtier".

So, along with inheriting the "color", the "temperament" is inherited too.

In my neck of the woods (or vast valley) all but one chocolate I saw years ago are near peas in a pod, looks wise as well as that furious drive and "huntability". I know at least two came from out of state , but from field kennels.

So, it is not being simply a chocolate that makes a Lab "naughty", but chances that it is related to a high drive field bred chocolate.
First of all it's Yellow labs and Golden retrievers, two entirely different breeds. .. lol

I've been told by lab breeders that the chocolate ones are rather fey, the blacks are the smartest and easiest to train, and the yellows are the most independent. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

My kids have owned chocolates and yellows and our experience follows the personalities given by the lab breeders I've talked to.
Nope they are the same basic kind of dog

do you not know golden retrievers came from the same gene pool as labs?

color of fur has no bearing on attitude of the dog
