we dont have a lot of money to go to the vet so i figured i woud try this. my dog has a sore on her snout that starts of with inflimation then it would go to looking like a green scab to a build up to a weird looking scab and when the scab comes of it looks like there is a hole in her snout what can i do or try to get my dog to get better it been like this for a month or two and i dont know why this happened
Your dog needs to be taken to the vet. This recurring sore could be a cancerous tumor. Whatever it is it's not normal and you must get it seen to.
You'll just have to go without a few things for yourself and pay a vet to treat your dog.
I would call the vet and describe your situation. I have a lab with numerous ailments and sometimes to save on the cost of going back in the vet will just call in a med. If you are too hard pressed for the med the doctor says you need ask if there is an over the counter human medication you can use. Also if there is a local animal shelter you may be able to find help there. Many shelters have funds put aside for situations like yours. Best of luck!
That sounds like squamous cell carcinoma. Cancers on any part of a dog's face quickly spreads to the brain. If you want to keep the dog, you better get her to a vet. There is nothing you can do that will heal it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Two things come to mind here;
1 - it's a tumour and needs medical attention.
2 - the dog it in the yard digging with it's nose and keeps reopening a cut on it.
If you can't afford the vet then you shouldn't have a dog.
Green is not good. It means it could be infected .. Try making a home made funnel to put around her neck so she can't scratch her nose for a while. Does she have allergies? Maybe fleas?
Why have you let this go on for a month or two without seeking out advice/help for her? Time that you catch these things is always key. Neglecting does no one any good. Sorry, but it's true.
I would start with trusted known home remedies first since you can't afford the vet. But the fact that you've waited this long before seeking out a fix isn't a good thing in her defense either. You will probably have to take your dog to the vet because of the waiting you have done.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com If you really care for her, put aside money, do without for yourself .. If you can't do this .. then you really need to find someone who can do it for her.
Word of advice: If you know you don't have the money to take your dog to the vet, don't wait before seeking out aid on what to do. Because the longer you wait, the worst things get, and the more price -er too. Something that could of been taken care of with over the counter items, can now require a vet visit. And give it more time, surgery. which will bankrupt even the middleclass people.
