I have a tri colored border collie, beagle, Dachshund mix i received free from a walmart parking lot. I was just wondering how rare is this mix because i've seen beagle dachshund mixes or beagle border collie mixes but not all three in one. if you do have one discribe his/hers personality and physical features
my dog is a female named ginger shes very energetic loves children and enjoys herding and barking at dogs twice her size i find it funny! she likes to track animals, her favorite prey is cat i allow her to track and chase them because she never makes any attempt to bit or attack them. she just runs them down to exhaustion then runs in circles around them barking she thinks every things a game. she a medium dog who is slightly stretched out like a dachshund with a narrow snout her fur looks like a border collie tricolor and she's very low to the ground. her fur is thick in he winter and she doesn't howl like a beagle at all
There is nothing rare about your mix, no matter how infrequent the breeding is; A mutt is a mutt is a mutt. Their personalities, heights, weights, etc. will always all be unpredictable.

There's nothing wrong with mongerals and mixes, some lovely dogs, but you let her chase cats''to exhaustion''that must cause a lot of fear and suffering. Try to have a little empathy for her 'quarry', it comes across as being very cruel in your question. Also just because she hasn't yet killed something dosen't mean she wont. Your teaching her that it's acceptable.

she's one of a kind. a great dog. PS my dog has two pet cats. he puts their heads in his mouth - like a lion and lion tamer at the circus. the cats love it and come back for more.

I have an aussie/heeler mix and I suspect there might be beagle in there. He also tries to herd my 100lb lab, he smiles at me, very loving & energetic. He also can be quite the terror. He tried to herd our cats and I'm still trying to get him to stop ... he also love to slober all over them . He loves sleeping on his back Our Max, is also a tri color with one eye that is 3/4 blue. We adopted him from a shelter where the mom a heeler/lab mix was just dumped off. All her pups came out looking like aussie. But Max has border collie length coat and a face that is all aussie. He will also catch snakes & mice and constantly hunts for them ... when he's not herding my lab or the cats
