Today she woke up kinda coughing/gagging like she had to vomit ..... i gave her hydrogen peroxide and she finally threw up about 5 minutes after that. She had swallowed what seemed like a piece of bone .. (i blame myself for that ... i decided on changing the type of bone she chews on) I was kinda relieved and went about my day .... i came back home hours later to find her coughing again ... kinda what smokers cough sounds like ... but she isnt gagging anymore. My dad says she is probably just couughing like that because her throat is kinda sore from what she threw up and maybe just from throwing up .... shesnot coughing often anymore .... but should i just keep an eye on her or should i take her to the vet? She's acting fine ... (drinking water, eating normal, playfull as always nothing weird except for the random moments she coughs)
When in doubt - better to be safe and take her to the vet. If you're unsure, you can call your vet and talk to them. They can tell you if it sounds like something she should come in for.
You should never induce vomiting if you don't know what the problem is. Things like bones can cause serious damage coming back up. The coughing you describe sounds like kennel cough. She should go to the vet to be checked out.
I agree with your dad. Watch her, especially when she poops, to make sure everything appears normal. If not. get her to a vet asap.
maybe a reverse sneeze

why would you give a dog hydrogen peroxide if you don't know the problem?
at least call your vat and talk to them
Take her to the vet if she starts coughing again. Good job with the fast thinking of Hydrogen Peroxide.:)
