I've been looking for the past few months and I can't seem to find anything updated. It doesn't have to be southern Ohio, but that's where I am located. Please help.
The only place that you ' ll find a puppy for that price would be through a shelter or rescue, OR from a lowly backyard breeder.
And if you volunteer at shelters then you should be the first to know about pet overpopulation, and how backyard breeders are the # 1 contributing factor to the overpopulation problem, and they should not be supported.
I'm sorry but if you are looking for a pup from a reputable breeder it's just not going to happen for that price.

Why in the world would you want a cheap dog.
Quality comes at a price.
Unless you have thousands of dollars to use for vet bills the quality dog you pay more money for as a puppy is going to save you tens of thousands in vet bills later on.
I promise you don't want a $ 500 dog.
If you want a cheap dog then get a rescue.

You're not going to find one from a breeder that cheap. Either you save up more money, or you be patient and keep checking shelters and rescues. Or you consider adopting an adult sheltie instead of a puppy.
You might even be able to get an adult from a reputable breeder for that cheap .. but not a young pup.
