I never thought there was that much wrong with it, but a friend and I were talking about it and he has a dog and says it's disgusting. I don't really mind it much but I'm curious to see how other dog owners feel about it. To be honest, I don't think I would like a dog that slobbers licking me? What breed is your dog and what do you think?
I love my dogs, but seriously people! Dogs lick a lot of stuff that ISN'T a human face ... if you get my drift.

For me it's a sign of a nervous or anxious dog.
I don't allow it so that the dog is encouraged towards more calm and confidence
or will reveal a problem I don't know about.
Balanced happy dogs lick sparingly and usually only as a greeting.
More than that could signal an issue.
My dogs get away with almost anything. They are spoiled, but, licking the face is a definite no no. They have been taught and they no what no lick means. My chihuahua sometimes forgets . She has selective memory (lol). All we have to say is no lick and that's the end of it. I think its very ugly to see people let their dogs lick them in the mouth and face. Yucky.

i have a lab and a pit bull i think its fine for them to lick my face i let them do it all the time yeah its nasty if their slobbering on you but if not why not it shows that they love you.
My dog is a Pit Bull and I ASK for kisses on my face. Sometimes I have to beg because she gets shy.

I find that the bigger lab doesnt lick much anyway. But my dachshund licks some and i dont mind it. It shows affection and that they care for you

i have a chihuahua mix and he will lick our faces if we dont move our face away. I dnt let him lick my face but i let him lick my hand. I even taught him to give high fives!
