Bio Spot flea & tick control?

I bought the Bio Spot Carpet Powder. I have not opened it yet because I am reading HORRIBBLLEE revies about the Bio Spot you place on your pets someone even said it killed their pomeranian. I'm wondering if the carpet powder the samething? Does it work? if not is there any other product you recommend for some reasonm my cat and dog are infested with fleas and we need to get rid of them as soon as possible.
Please DO NOT use the Bio Spot, it can cause neurological damage in some animals and especially in cats. I would suggest to you go buy some Frontline from your veterinarian, they have it in a form for dogs and a separate form for cats, although they are really the same, just measured out in weight for each species. You can even buy the Frontline Spray bottle and use it on both your cats and dogs and it is cheaper but most cats do not like to be sprayed so most cat owners like to purchase the Frontline Top Stop topical oil vials, they come 3 in a box (so that is 3 months worth of treatment in a box) And as I said before, they go by the weights of your individual dog and cat. Advantage for cats is also a topical oil in a small tube, I think there are 4 tubes in a box. If your vet only has Advantage products and not Frontline then you will need to get your dog Advantix which also deals with ticks along with fleas. (I prefer Frontline) And something very important to know is that you should purchase a Premises Spray from your vet for your house, it covers over 1,000 sq feet. (use this instead of the Bio Spot please,, it is much safer, ingredients are different in Premises Spray and Frontline and are much safer for your pet ) Anyway, please wash all pet bedding in warm water and spray the areas where they hang out, spray along the base boards and furniture they sit on (please test a spot on the furniture in an inconspicuous spot to make sure the material does not fade ) There are detailed instructions on the can's label. If you just treat the animals and do not treat the area too, you will just continue to have a re infestation because flea larva are in the areas and are in different stages of maturity so therefore can keep re infesting for several weeks unless you treat the home areas and the pets at the same time. I would recommend placing the pets in another room that is well ventilated until the Premises Spray dries, then it is fine to let them back into their environment . I promise if you buy these products from your vet and use them together you will have success. Best of luck!!
Start with Frontline Plus or Advantage, found at the pet store. The adult fleas on the animals should die within a day or two. Babies may hatch for up to 3 weeks but they should die fairly quickly as well. Then vacuum lots. If you still want to use the power here are some reviews to help you decide about the carpet powder - http://www.1800petmeds.com/Bio+Spot+Carp ... pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Hopefully you can keep the dog and cat out of the house while you dust. Sounds like it would be easy to inhale ..
i use frontline on my pets. I've never used anything else but that's cuz i get it for free from my mom. frontline is one of the most popular flea & tick controls because they also have the kind that controls ear mites and heart worm. i've never really heard of bio spot tho so idon'tt know. sorry.
