Even when it's raining he wants to be outside. I try to show him that it's nice and warm in here with momma, but he wants to go out. I put him in the bathroom and opened the window thinking it was the fresh air he likes , but **** ALL OVER and trampled over it and spread it everywhere. He absolutly WILL NOT go in a doghouse (we built him a nice one) and he won't sleep on blankets. I finally thought maybe since he liked couches when he was younger that he would like that and it worked, but I don't have any cover from the rain. what else can i do?
Well your dog is hitting that age. Many dogs usually try to separate themselves from their loved ones when they feel its coming closer to their time. You should defiently take a visit to the vet to make sure everything is alright.
Another conclusion could be your dog is just outdoor dog and loves it outside.
I would take him to the vet just to be sure. Maybe he thinks outside will help him be better or as a way to keep things from you. Nothing bad could happen by taking him to the vet use it as an oppertunity as a way to get him checked out. He is at that age when he starts slowing down. Whats a little money for a best friend!! maybe your dog is ill. maybe he is trying to tell you by not coming in. He is up in age and should be checked by a vet .. he may be in pain and not letting you know.
not anything you can do . some dogs are just outdoor dogs. make sure he has shade from the sun and cover from the rain and he'll be happy.
Just get a cover over the patio so he wont get wet in the rain or snow
Buy him a tent.
maybe he just wants more fresh air bc he is getting older?
