i want to show what they are like. and the good times to be had with them. what do you think i should film them doing to make this a great film and what music to put on it
Well, what a good response .
There's LOTS of adopted Lurchers and greyhounds round where i live (North Highlands), and i just rescued a 6 month old pup (greyhound/collie).
Here's my MSN photo page, and though i just have one or two of my dogs individually, ill be adding more soon as i get new battery/camera so feel free to use any that you like.

"Stray" sighthounds (one word)? This isn't an incredibly common occurrence here in the US. I know that it's been a problem in Spain where hunters dump their Galgos after a couple of seasons, if they choose not to kill the dog instead.

The last time I spoke with Whippet and Italian Greyhound rescues, they could count on one hand the number of actual strays that had come to them over the last 5 years. Most are owner turn-ins.
As sad as it is, it's a rare occurrence because so many sighthounds simply cannot withstand the elements and die rather quickly when they stray. It's also because they have no understanding of cars or roads, so they bound into roads and die.
I assume that you are talking about homeless sighthounds, not just "stray" sighthounds. Remember that the sighthound group is fairly large. While retired racing Greyhounds are the most well known, Italian Greyhound rescue gets like 1000 dogs a year, Whippet rescue is quite active, and there are rescues for each and every sighthound breed.
Rhodesian Ridgeback (depending on who you talk to)
Saluki
Sloughi
Borzoi
Irish Wolfhound
Pharoah Hound
Scottish Deerhound
Galgo
Afghan Hound

Added: Are you not in the US yet are posting from the US site? Because lurchers and longdogs are not that common here, at least not by those names. Been in sighthounds for 40 years, but don't know that it's one word, even after being corrected?
http://www.sighthoundwelfaretrust.org.uk ... is a sighthound welfare club of the UK, assuming you are in the UK.
What does it matter? A whole lot. You are either doing a film about homeless sighthounds or you are doing a film about stray sighthounds. In the US, these words are NOT interchangeable.
But, you are correct, I did not answer your question. You should film them being dogs. Lure Coursing, being service animals, being therapy dogs, playing in the garden, at sighthound fundraisers.
Why sight hounds? Are you referring to greyhounds. They usually are not stray per se.
