You know it ticks me off that all pit bull lovers who claim to be the biggest haters of stereotypes, as they are often perpetuated against pit bulls. You'd think they'd learn to hate stereotypes, then why do they paint with such a broad brush against people who breed pits in their back yard? I love all my dogs.
They have a bad stereotype because of the unwanted, unhealthy mutts they breed.
Please don't love your dogs too much; someone might report you to the Humane Society for that sort of indecent behaviour.
Because with so many already abused and neglected dogs of ALL breeds not just pits out there why add to the overpopulation . it's simply stupid to me to intentionally have puppies that are not purebred unless you can line up good homes with people you know. i work in shelters and with rescues and i get people in all the time giving up their dog saying they can't afford it when they're driving a brand new car and have an iphone ... and BYBS only add to the millions of dogs that are surrendered and then put down every year. if you can find a home it's fine or if you can keep the pupies its all cool but if you're a douche bag that's gonna give them up because you can't handle the responsibility the you shouldn't have a dog in the first placy ...
backyard breeder is a term used for people who just pour infinity unwanted animals onto the street out of ignorance or into crappy homes for a profit. it's not a literal term. you can be a reputable breeder and do it in a back yard, as long as have a clue what you 're doing and do it in moderation.
I read the other day 4 million cats and dogs where euthanized in the US this past year and more the years before. A large part of this problem is due to BYB that is the reason . There are just too many dogs and to be honest poorly bred dogs show up as problems first and they make up a large portion of the dogs that get euthanized.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Now a dog from a ethical breeder always has a home, my breeder wants my dog back if I can not keep him, so he will never be in a shelter to be given up for adoption.
You do realize good gollie means that the dogs are unwanted, not that they feel unwanted.
As in they wind up in shelters where they'll either be euthanized immediately or given a week to wait in tiny pens, surrounded by anxious dogs until they dragged to the back and euthanized anyways ... by the millions a year.
Besides that, I've yet to meet a byb who even knows what a "pit-bull" is, what it should look like, and how it should behave.
Because - they breed dog's unhealthily and it hurts the dogs by sending them to shelter's when they don't get bought, which happens 90% of the time.
yes. we all love our dogs. but that's not the point. byb's hurt your dogs. they break their hearts and make them feel unwanted.
@: Uh. Yes. They can. When you never play with them, affectionate them, barely feed them, or even when you don't look at them! Dogs love people more than they love themselves. You just don't know your dog facts.
Have you ever taken english class? Because you are suppose to learn the difference between stereotypes and terms ..
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
An example of a stereotype would be "All pit bulls are bad" or "All breeders are backyard breeders"
Backyard breeder is actually a TERM, Just like Julai said
Google backyard breeder definition ..
Saying pit bulls are evil is a STEREOTYPE. Backyard breeder is a TERM for irresponsible people who cannot properly breed their dogs. Different things.
What did you just get yourself into with this question? i asked a store about my moms pet store and all it brought was a head ache .... get out while you can!!
Are you actually serious?
This is a joke, right?
