Hi im Jaime and im 14. I'd like to enter an obedience class for my dog wesley. But im overwhelmed the different organizations. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks-Jaime
4H has dog projects accross the country . They are set up for youth and their dogs. Most offer classes in obedience, rally, agility, conformation, and showmanship. You can find out more about this program by contacting your county extension agent. Many kennel clubs offer training classes to the public . Youths are sometimes allowed to participate. AKC and UKC allow youth to compete in their obedience trials but you will be competing against adults. Some trials do give out youth awards.
