My lab puppy is about 11 weeks old, she seems to snore. She is actually sleeping right now, she was sleeping on her back and it was really loud, and now on her side and still knd of loudly. Also by extreme dreams I mean , she'll start shaking and then crying when she sleeps. I don't want to wake her right away so I talk to her gently until she wakes. And earlier she was trying to 'suck' so i put my finger on her mouth and she started sucking on that. Is all this normal. Is she just having puppy dreams?
Snoring is common, but you should still bring it up with your vet. Chances are there's nothing wrong and it's just regular snoring, but it's a good idea to make sure she doesn't have a cold or anything. (If she does have a cold, then the snoring could very well be caused by mucus basically plugging up her airways.)
Don't worry about her shaking and crying in her sleep, and don't wake her. It's perfectly normal. During the rapid eye movement (or REM) stage of sleep (which, yes, is the stage in which dreaming occurs), it's common for dogs to twitch, move, bark, whimper, wag their tails, shake, so on and so forth. It's really just a sign that her brain is working normally, so it's a good thing.

As for her sucking on your finger, keep in mind that she's very young. It wasn't so long ago that she was nursing rather than eating solid food, so it's still natural for her suckle. Some dogs never really grow out of sucking on things; both of my dogs sort of nurse on stuffed animals sometimes, and I know other dogs who do it. It's common enough.
she is just being a puppy nothing to worry about I have 3 dogs and my english bulldog who just turned 1 snores loud enough that you can hear him anywhere, my male basset hound 10mths snores too .. my female basset makes like hissing moaning noises and they all have the crazy running dreams and even cry, bark ... so i think you are doing the right thing just talk gently till she wakes up shes still a lil baby enjoy and good luck
This sounds completely normal. One of my dogs barks in her sleep sometimes, she is probably dreaming about chasing something, but i doubt its anything to be worried about. The snoring is also probably fine, you may just ask the vet about it at her next checkup. My other dog actually burps all the time so dogs make body noises just like humans.
That sounds exactly like my dog. She snores super loudly and runs and barks in her dreams. I find it adorable. It's totally normal but leave your puppy alone. It's like when you wake a sleep walker, they become really startled and scared. Just a thought when he sprayed my mattress with mattress cleaner her snoring is a lot quieter now.
she's fine. sounds like she sleeps well. you can continue to talk to her in her sleep if you feel she is having nightmares but it sounds like she's just having puppy dreams.
Both my dogs do this. It is completely normal. Just doggy dreams. lol
