My dad just decided to let my dog go today and now he's blaming everything on me and my brother and saying we never took care of him (which is complete BS!) I feel so awful and horrible right now .. I loved my dog very much and we had him for quite a time, and now he's gone ...: '(: (: (
I guess I just need some advice to help me feel better ...?: (Is there anything I can even do?: (: (
I almost had that same problem ...... I guess the way to get over it is that remember the happy times you and your dog had together. And if you didn't take care of the dog just think about the dog being with owners who can take better care of the dog. I had to give my other dog away to my Maw Maw. And she really takes good care if her. At least I have 1 more dog!:) Hope this helps!:) Sorry to hear about your dog!: (
Even if you didn't take care of the dog, this is when parents need to be parents. Your parents were complete and total idiots if they thought that two kids were going to be responsible enough to care for a dog 100%.

Your parents never should have gotten the dog on those parameters and no one should have sold them a dog with those parameters. They used a backyard breeder/puppy mill, so god only knows what is going to happen to this dog now.
I don't expect a child to be worldly enough to understand their limits in caring for an animal. That is the parents' job. Your parents didn't protect you and didn't guide you in this, so this falls squarely on their heads. Now, the dog is the one that is going to pay the price.
I know the feeling: ((although we had to give up my dog (whom we had for 7 years) because my dad was very sick. And it just killed me because she was my baby, best friend. I still miss her even after almost 2 years, but it gets better:). We have a new puppy now and it has kind of helped although she'll never replace my old dog: (but time heals.
Obviously we only are hearing your side. I wonder what this would sound like if I heard the story from your Dad.
There is probably nothing you can do at this time, for the future, you need to think of ways to convince your Dad that you are responsible.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com I don't think this was easy for your parents either.
I'm so sorry! Hopefully when u grow older, you can get as many dogs as you want and live happily ever after!!:) Also, try to make yourself feel better by doing things you like, for example, painting your nails, or pampering yourself! (find out how at: http://lifestyle.iloveindia.com/lounge/how-to-pamper-yourself-at-home -5371.html hope this helps:) once again, i am REALLY sorry for your loss and hopefully you will feel better in no time!!!: D
Actually, many, MANY children know how to take care of animals. I find it ignorant that some would say that children don't know how to take care of another living thing.
I'm sorry about your dog.: (
Sorry but you'll just have to grin and bear it. Life is full of unexpected things even it it's just the dog leaving.
Remember this when you grow up and have kids not to be total jerks like your parents (no offence) are.
