No, it is not wrong. I think it should be mandatory! An elderly dog has given you so much love throughout its life and now it is time to return the favor. Do not give it too many treats, though and keep it exercised to the best of its ability. I don't think a warm comfy bed, lots of affection and attention and cooking special meals if needed is too much to give a faithful companion. I would always make sure a warm blanket was tucked around my old dog on those cold winter nights. I really miss him even though he has been gone for five years. When your old dog finally does cross the Rainbow Bridge, you will feel much better knowing you did your best to make the end of its life comfortable and pleasurable.
Not at all. When my guy was getting up in age he got is own fluffy heated bed for his joints and arthritis. He got special food and people food closer to the end of his life.
I pampered the guy until he left this world.
I would definitely say pamper away if they are getting older why not send them off happier than ever, i'm sure they gave you endless happiness in their lifetime why not return the favour !!
only if it has negative benefits to their health,. if pampering means you're making them comfortable, that's great. if it means giving them treats all the time and letting them lounge around all day, not so much.
NO! not wrong at all, you want them to endn their liffe happy and knowing they had a great owner. Elderly dogs cant walk or run that far anymore therefore you SHOULD pamper them !!!!
Not at all . I pamper all of my dogs.
