i like the breed and all, but it is not my favorite. what is your opinion?
same as any other dog but owners need to learn to train them. it's not cute for a dog to be untrained and ill behaved.

first off let me tell you this, feeding, temperment, exercise, grooming.
GROOMING: simple to medium
EXERCISE: undemanding
FEEDING: undemanding
TEMPERMANT: spirited and intelligent, but can be fussy ... be carfull not to get in a habit of spoiling the dog, or your intruble.
next off the history of the dog:
the chihuahua most likly originated in south america. yes!, it IS named after the mexican state.
the chihuahua is preferred to be in show rings rather than out side working like a donkey.
here it comes yes it is true the chihuahua is indeed proud of his tail. for that he holds it up high like the USA flag!.
the way it cares for it's tail is good for tell yourself more about the breeds personality.

they are very brave and mighty dogs, puting up with pain even in the most deadlyest seans.
some do not accept the fact that another dog is larger than themselves.
yelling (or what other people call yaping! (BI)) is mostly for pertecting their family from people you might know but they don't.
the dog is hard to house train but you just need self controll and treats. but even if it harder than said from other people, it's not like it's going to be the end of the world!
chihuahuas are very pritty dogs but don't let your gaqrd down, they are very sneaky and get away with things just becouse their cute.
I love how everybody just assumes Chihuahuas are yappy little rats. Honestly, if Chihuahuas are TRAINED like any other dog then they are not yappy or mean like people just assume. They are not children and they need to be treated like dogs. Thanks to people who think they are "cute purse dogs" they get a bad name.
If you can't tell I love Chihuahuas. They are in my past, present, and in my future.
I personally think they are yappy and ugly and I can't stand the shaking so I don't much care for them. Lots of people would think my pugs are ugly, too. It is all a matter of personal taste and it would be a pretty boring world if we were all alike.
Chihuahuas can be very sweet little dogs. As with any breed can come yappy and agression. It pends the owner and breeder.

Same with Pitbulls
I have a chihuahua. She is the sweetest thing. I wouldnt trade her for the world. They are very loyal and make a great companion. They also love to snuggle.
I like the breed but, I really don't like it. Chihuahuas are easily squished and tend to be yappy if not properly trained.
I love them, and I have one and have had them in the past. Mine is not yappy at all.
WELL bred and WELL trained Chi's are great - 95% of the ones out there are byb dogs with a lot of health problems and you couldn't give one of them to me for free!
