My dog loves to destroy things. She eats clothes, blankets toys, toilet paper and other things. She once ate a shirt of mine that cost 60 dollars. When she was little she ate nearly a whole meter by meter blanket over the course of a year. So I was wondering if this could cause any harm to her. She gets sick sometimes but not every time she eats things. Also could we stop this in anyway. She is an important part of our family and I don't anything to happen to her: (
We had a chessie that ate everything under the sun and then some. It eventually caught up with her and she passed away after emergency surgery to her intestines because she ate underwear with elastic.
RIP Josie .... you ole '*****!
Dogs chew and get into things because: they are stressed bored, or have pentup energy. So walk the dog at least 1 to 2 times a day. Don 't leave things out that will tempt your dog like leaving socks or shoes out on the floor or food on the table. Give the dog chew toys and say good dog and praise her when she chews on the bone/toy.

your dog should be crated when you arent around for her own protection since she is such a chewer .. get a kong and put it in there with her .. also she seems to have alot of energy so maybe taking more walks then you usually do will help as well. keep plenty of doggie things she can have. I keep a lil pile of dog stuff and my dogs chew on them instead of other items ... its like having a baby crawl .. doggie proof your house.
My dog did the same thing to solve this problem every time i seen something she messed up i would hold her nose to it n beat her and when i left the house i would put her in a cage eventually over she learned right from wrong n stopped destroying the house
I have a dachshund and he did the same thing. Everytime he chewed something I would scold him and put him in his crate. Only for three minutes. When I took him out I watched him closely and now he does well. But I still cage him whenever I leave home. Just to be safe.
You will need the help of a professional trainer for this one. Sounds like the dog is bored. Have you tried a LOT of exercise?
you should tell her NO and then put her outside for 3 minutes and then bring her in after its done repeat the cycle if she continues
