well tuesday night my dog ziggy hald boston terrier and half jack russel got ran over. I didn't see it but my mom was coming home frome school and saw it. I can't get over it I miss him every day. Also i cry. Well my other dog lucky drug out a toy that ziggy chewed on and thought maybe he would come out from hiding. But of course he didn't. I had him for 2 years and my dog lucky acts depressed. I mean he eats and all but what should i do. Someone please help me.
You will be sad for a long time. I am sorry if the following sounds harsh, however if a dog is left outside it will wander off.
Your other dog could also die if it is left outside when you all go out. Unless Lucky is allowed to stay inside, he could wander. Lucky could also be attacked by other animals, he could be stolen or abused. Have a word with your mother and make sure that Lucky is safe inside during the day.
this is always a tough situation. you and your remaining dog need some time to grieve. dont think about Ziggy for how he died. remember and think about only the good times you had. its alright to cry. let all your feelings out. scream, hit a pillow if you have to (just be considerate of other people too) it will take time but you will find peace. once your other dog realizes that his friend is not coming back then you can make the decision to get another dog if you'd like. personally, i believe you may need another friend for your other dog but he may just be mourning and will be ok alone if you so choose.

Who let the dog loose to get hit? Things like these happen to dogs if they are not leashed or watched.
I hate to say that but it is a tragedy and to see it happen is more of a tragedy.
What you have to do is look at it as a lesson well learned.
You never let a dog run loose or let a dog attempt to run free.
You have to be careful it is like having children, you never let them out of your sight as the slightest thing can happen.
I am sorry but learn from this and never let your other dog out or out with out a leash
how about punch your mom or yourself (or whatever idiot is responsible for the dog Not being fenced or leashed) in the face for letting the dog be in the street.
After that, it will just time to get over this.

Losing a pet can be just as hard as losing a family member, because pets ARE family members. It's only been a few days. It is going to take some time for you to grieve. Things will slowly get better over time.

I would pamper your other dog you have ... but you should of had a fence or a leash on him.
