my 5 weeks old siberian husky has chronic dirraeah?

My 5 month old siberian husky has had chronic diarrhea?

we have had her since she was 8 weeks old and not long after she started getting diarrhea.

we put it down to her injections and worming at first then it started to get really bad.

phoned the vets and they just said about changing her food gradually we did this a few times, then they said about wain wrights food as it was all natural.

about a week later still no change take her to the vets and they do their check ups and she had discomfort to her small intestines, they said the first step would be to test her for any small parasites living in her. Also they mentioned about putting her on prescribed dog food which was called prescription diet id and it worked it cleared up a little bit but was expensive £ 1.86 a tin and was having 2 tins a day. the insurance company wouldn't pay for the food unless it was crystals in the urine or bladder stones.

so once the results come back negative they wanted to test her for giardia which we then would have to make another payment for another feces test when they should of done them both anyway, pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

so we agreed not to do the giardia test and to put her back on chicken and rice and which was cheaper and better and anti biotics which where called stomorgyl after her 5 day course everything seemed fine she was happy on chicken and rice we then tried to put her back on dog biscuits and now chronic diarrhea again seems like we have just got a dog that likes exspensive food anyone had the same problem
The expense is a ramification of a quality diet. I don't agree with prescription diets for a whole plethora of reasons I won't get into right now. It does appear that your dog is sensitive to something in the food. You will need to be very methodical and attentive in your troubleshooting. Start by purchasing a high quality grain free diet . Corn, wheat and soy are the top 3 allergens in dog food. Stick with a single protein source (say chicken). If that doesn't help (and it will take 2 to 3 months for a dog to adjust to a new food ) then switch to a Fish based food or Rabbit. We even sold one food that was Kangaroo meat. By methodically analyzing what is in the foods and limiting the variables, you should be able to identify the family of problematic ingredients. Once you know that , you can seek out less expensive variations (while keeping them quality) while avoiding the problem source. Here is a great web site for a breakdown of what is in particular dog foods and any controversial info http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/
Start her on a raw food diet. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Our dog had lose stool a lot-so we feed him Call of the Wild-that seems to help. All of his treats are organic. When we go out and if someone gives him a treat, even just one, that isn't organic or dried meat, then he has the runs for days.

Did you ask the breeder if their dogs had this problem?

maybe something you are feeding, just have to keep trying and see what happens
Do you drink your tap water? Maybe it's the tap water that is upsetting her stomach.
I would take her to the vet. Best advise.
well i think you need to bring to a vet.
I would be giving her some Pedialyte for the diarrhea. Since she has it so bad that would the the first thing I'd try.

Is she drinking enough water? Give her some Pedialyte, it is to rehydrate a dehydrated system. She is loosing a lot of minerals & vitamins as she poops & the Pedialyte will rehydrate her.
