My dog is a Chiuahuah \ Spitz and me and my sister think she

What are some ways that we can check if she is preganant without having to go to the vet or anything too complicated?
You can't be that broke if you own an iPod ...

I guess the only way you will be able to tell if she's pregnant without going to the vet is waking up and finding your dog dead one morning.
Were taking her you *** holes.

You have two options.

1) Wait for the signs. They will not show until she is much farther along. She will have changes in behavior, her teets will swell, she will have an increased appetite, etc. If you wait and she's not pregnant then everything is fine . If you wait and she is pregnant you will have lessened her chance at healthy puppies and even her chance at surviving by not getting her proper medical care during the pregnancy. By the time you know she's pregnant you could already have issues.

2) Take her to the vet to have them tell you for sure. If she's not all your out is a little money. But if she is you could potentially save her life by getting her taken care of now.

If she is pregnant it is going to cost you, and you'll have more decisions to make. You'll either need to get her through it (lots of work, research, vet trips, and tons of money) or you'll need to have an emergancy spay.

What you really should do is take her in and get her spade. If you are broke as you say then you surely can not afford a dog, let alone a pregnant one and since your wonder if she is, it means you were not responsible enough to keep her safe during heat. So spaying would be the best choice for her. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If you can't even afford to spay her then in all honesty you need to turn her over to a no-kill or breed specific rescue. Dogs cost money to keep happy and healthy and if you can not afford to care for her properly you should not keep her.
If you can't afford a vet you can't reasonably afford to properly take care of a pregnant ***** and later her and her litter.

Ahead of the time she would be close to whelping? No conclusive way that couldn't just as easily point to false pregnancy or even pyometra which DOES require vet care.

The signs of false pregnancy are EXACTLY the same as the real thing.
Mood changes. She'll likely become more defensive to strangers because she now has a baby to protect. Also should be less likely to put her rear leg up when laying down (which shows that she is opening up her belly to show that she knows you are higher rank than her in the pack). Her eating habits might change (if she's pregnant, make sure she always has enough food). Good luck.
I would take her to the vet. Because if she is ... she will need a checkup anyways ....
Sell your computer and shut off internet, use the money to spay the dog.
