Surrrrre .. put a tie around his neck so he can catch it on something and choke himself - really smart - you're more interested in showing him off for your own ego than actually looking after his overall well-being - and you honestly believe you love this animal? pffftttt!

I think its a little ridiculous to dress your dog up in cheesy outfits, but even with their fur, some dogs need a little extra to keep them warm. I found a nice grey, knit wool sweater for my little dog and it fits him perfectly and keeps him dry and warm on the cold days. It was $ 40 and will probably last him a couple winters.
The best "dress" for a dog - is a clean, shiny coat and friendly disposition.
Though the market has been glutted with dog-clothing, it is all for the sake of money. I'm amazed at folks who just can't seem to understand that God knew what He was doing when creating our four-legged friends with their particular coats of dog-hair, without the need for our intervention unless living in wintry climes where, when not having a thick undercoat is the only reason, one might think of investing in a warm blanket/jacket to prevent chills when on brisk walks.
As a life-long "parent" to dogs (and cats & horses), I know for a fact that animals are not in the least bit amused, never mind happy about, being trussed up to look "oh so cute" while donned in ridiculous "clothes" that get in the way of them being who they are and want to be.

Keep him fed on good quality food, play with him as much as you are able, ensure he's gently taught what to do and not, provide guidance to be sure he's well behaved around people of all sizes and ages, ensure he's got room for exercise and that you take him out for walks/runs for his mental well-being, and he'll have lived a rich and happy life.
