So me and my husband were married in july and moved in together. He has a twelve year old dachsund and a two year old husky, both females and both spayed. The husky is great and well trained (I helped train her) but the dachsund , Daisy, likes to pee in the house (the floor when my husband is home the couch when its just me). It had been every once in a while before my husband and I were married but now its all the time since I moved in . Last night she even pee'd on my leg while my husband and I were asleep! Every time she pees or when she is caught in the act she is immediately picked up, told 'bad daisy' and brought outside whether or not she is finished. We don't do much except for that as punishment so that she doesn't see it as 'attention'. Whenever she pees when its just me home though and I tell her bad and put her outside, as soon as she gets back in she pees again or poops in the floor. I don't know what to do with her or how to stop this behavior. I've tried paying more attention to her as a routine and so has my husband. Our husky, Sierra , feels left out at times now and she even has to deal with daisys attitude since daisy has been known to purposefully pee on sierra's toys. Oh, and we always clean the floors and couch or wherever she pees with our bissel little green and urine neutralizer . I really need some advice so we can stop her bad habits. My husband and I just finished remodeling the house we bought together and we will be moving in soon. We already bought new furniture for the house since daisy has peed so much on the old. Also, since where we have been living is so small my parents have been keeping my two large dogs for the time being until we move. I don't want them to have to deal with her attitude as well.
I wouldn't scold her at all-just take her straight outside and focus on praising her for going outside. I'm guessing that since you moved in with your husband, a lot of the family dynamic has changed. Daisy is probably a bit stressed and may even feel slightly threatened by this. Her owner just added a new member to the family, and she probably doesn't know quite how to react to it.

I think that now it's important that you develop a strong bond with Daisy, and make sure both you and her husband are giving her lots of attention. You may want to think about taking her to a training class every so often or work on some basic training at home to get her comfortable with you. She may not necessarily need training, and may already know how to sit and things like that, but it would help to do something where you two have to work as a team.
Walking together as a family may also help, basically anything where she can learn that you are a good addition and that you are not here to threaten her or drastically change her life. Anything that can build your relationship would be good. I think that this more than giving her pets or any other sort of attention at home will help a lot.
Since you have 2 other dogs that you will eventually want to introduce to Daisy and Sierra, I would think about hiring a trainer to come in and help you. It can be a big change for dogs to have new additions to the family-be it humans or other dogs. I think you're going to have a lot of work on your hands juggling Daisy's problems and also trying to get the other 2 dogs integrated into the family.

I still think it sounds like this is because of the new change in her life, but you want to rule out something like incontinence or a bladder infection just in case.
This is a spayed, senior female dog. Nowhere did you mention that you've ever had her to the vet to have her checked. Incontinence in older, spayed females is pretty common. Take her to the vet for a geriatric check, there's meds that can help her if this is a physical problem that she can't help.
Geeeeeeeez ......... . it's ANCIENT & SENILE ... & has a PHYSICAL problem!
